Hello everybody! Now I want to tell you about my holiday in Ayer
Island, which is one of hundreds little island in Thousand Islands (Kepulauan
Seribu), Jakarta.
“It’s located only 15-20 minutes from Marina Beach
Ancol, Jakarta. Ayer Island has been known as the best, cleanest, the most
exclusive island, and also the brightest on the Thousand Island”, their blog (www.pulauayer.com) said. So can you imagine how
beautiful is it? Yes, I think so.
Okay let’s start. Keep pretending you are in Ayer Island.
Last holiday, after I graduated from JHS, on May 2015, I went there
with my family and my father friend’s family. We went there for 3 days and 2
nights. We traveled there from Marina Beach with a speedboat, and it’s just
took 15-20 minutes, same as what the blog above said. I slept almost all the
way there because the view is, really, boring. Just imagine you’re drifted in
the center of very wide ocean, with view around you just sea sea and sea. One
line limit between sea and sky. Hahaha. But approximately 5 minutes before
arrival, I woke up. Beautiful view start “rising”!
Upon arrival, we are served with welcome drinks of fresh mixed juice. I
saw around me. Cool little island with traditional cottages, sandy playground,
and the facilities are in good condition, clean, well maintained. Then when I
got the cottage key for my family, I ran to the cottage and opened the door.
The cottages is big with a living room and balcony for fishing. On the first
day, my dad and brother tried to fishing there too. They got 2 little fish! After
fishing, we swam in pool. Anyway, I stayed there on May 2015 when the winds blew
so high and the big waves hit the cottages all night long. So adventurous. It
feels like sleep on the big ship during a storm.

On the next day, I woke up on 7 pm and tried many sport facilities
there like kids playground, jogging track, and also bike rent. I cycled around
the island by bike with my brother, surrounding the beautiful seashore. Actually
we wanted to try water sport facilities (banana boat and jetski) but the winds
blew too high and made the sea too dangerous for playing some water sport, so
we canceled it and just took maybe hundreds of photo around Ayer Island. The
sun start to set, that’s mean we had to go to restaurant for dinner. You must
try to eat fresh seafood there, because it’s sooooooo delicious!
And then we came back to the cottage, took a rest, and start packed our
things that we bring for go home tomorrow . I was really sad to leave this
little paradise, but this is one of my best holiday in my life!
“Thousands islands is a really “must-go” place you should put in your
vacation list!”
