DEWA ATHENA

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog!

Anyway, I wanna tell you about my school’s sports competition week, named Dewa Athena.

Dewa Athena is an interclass sports competition for  10 and 11 grader in 3 Senior High School Bandung. It held a lot of sports and also some Indonesian traditional games, such as football, dodge ball, badminton, volley, basketball, tarik tambang, gobak sodor, etc. This is an annual event once in a year held by my school’s Student Council. It was held on 10^th-12^th March 2016, but not finished yet because we must do mid term test, so the other days will be held after that.

Actually I didn’t  play any sports/games, hahaha. It doesn't matter, because I don’t like sports too much. I brought my camera and be a photographer for my class documentation, hehe. Yes, I wasn’t the official documentation group that Dewa Athena’s comitte made. I took many photos then I shared them to my class LINE group. And of course all photos (except theh class photo) that I attach here was taken by me. But of course I came everyday to support my class, photographing, and be a substitute player when there’s a player that can’t attend the match.

FIRST DAY!

The first day was on 10^th of March 2016. We came to Bali Field (where the activity located) to attend the opening ceremony. After that, Dewa Athena opened by a marathon run around some streets near the field. Then the game started!

My class played football (boys and girls), badminton (boys and girls), dodgeball, gobak sodor, and shuttle run. Fortunately, we won the girl football, badminton, dodgeball, and gobak sodor. But unfortunately we didn’t win the football (boys) and shuttle run. We were sad but it didn’t make us down.

By the way, we took a (not fullteam, but almost yeay!) first class photo on that day, this is my favorite!

SECOND DAY!

The second day was on 11^th of March 2016. The first match in this day was male dodge ball. The next match was volleyball, after that was chess, and the last match was tarik tambang. Guess what, we won all the match that held in second day! Such a short but a great day for us. Congratulation X IPA 8!

THIRD DAY!

The third day was on 12^th of March 2016. The first was gobak sodor match, and we win this match. Second was male badminton match, we won. The third match was chess, but our class was lost. The fourth match was female badminton, this was little bit fierce but at least we won. The fifth match was female football, yeah, we won again. The sixth match was tarik tambang, we won. The seventh match was female dodge ball, we lost. Next match was male badminton, but unfortunately we lost this match too. The last match was female badminton, finally, we won it again!

And after that, Dewa Athena was ‘paused’ for around 2 weeks maybe, because all students must do  mid term test. So Dewa Athena continued after that.

FOURTH DAY!

March, 31^st.

This day was male dodgeball final match. I didn’t come to support my class that day, because of something. But I heard from my friends that the match was really  intense, one player of opponent’s team got angry, our player and supporter became very strained. But finally, we lost, but everything was okay.

FIFTH DAY!

April, 1^st.

There was no match for my class. Actually we must had female football match but it was delayed, because of something, I don’t know. So we’ll play on the next day.

SIXTH DAY!

April, 2^nd.

That day was heavy rain, so we wait until the rain stop than start the game. We had a volleyball match, and we were the winner again! Wohooo! Final, see you! We had a female football match too, and we won the match! I didn’t came again that day, but after I heard that my class won, I started thinking that our class have a passion in female football and also volleyball.

By the way, we’re still have the football (girl), basketball, gobak sodor, volley, and badminton (girl) match to (insyaallah) win. I hope we can be the semifinal until final winner!
